I like to make things and then talk about it. Sometimes I talk about things before I make them and sometimes I talk about things that other people have made. Sometimes I’ll talk about other things, too, like the city that I live in (Chicago) or the book that I’m reading.
A lot of the things that I make don’t go quite as planned. This hat is one example of that. This picture is another. Not that I don’t love the stern, sweaty librarian look. Here’s some free advice for you – don’t take pictures of wool hats in August. Your neighbors will think you’re crazy and your head will be too hot. Also, if a hat seems to small the whole time you’re knitting it, you should probably try it on before you are done.
